Our ranch is located 13 miles Southwest of Eastend. We run 230 Horned Hereford cows.THE COW HERD-Our ranch environment would be considered short grass. The cows we have developed have lots of thickness, hair, length, and mature between 1300-1400 lbs. Click on any of the pictures on this page to get a larger view.

We never buy a bull without first seeing his mother.THE CALVES-We wean at the end of October. At this time, we sell our heavy steer calves, which have an average pay weight between 575-595 lbs. The heifer calves are all wintered at home on 2 1/2-3 lbs rolled oats and dry land grass alfalfa hay.THE BRED HEIFERS-We have sold one owner bred heifers for about 20 years. This year the bred heifers were exposed June 15th-August 5th to low birth weight bulls that the Anderson's raised out of the same sire. On December 14th, we will be consigning 20 of our top heifers. By sale day they will be weighing approximately 1,100-1,200 lbs in their working clothes.
